DISCUSSION BOARD
In response to input from the public and members of the Plan Commission, a new draft of the Comprehensive Plan has been developed and is available on the home page for download.
In particular, the new version:
Provides a clearer and more consistent policy framework;
More directly emphasizes agriculture, rural character, and farmland stewardship;
Clarifies how future growth should be evaluated;

As Philip mentioned in his post, thank you to everyone for providing their feedback. And thank you to American Structurepoint for coming up with various ways for the community to submit the feedback!
The Office is looking forward to seeing the finalized draft.
Thanks to all who have been submitting their comments! We are working to update the draft document with the updates, and are looking to bringing a new draft to the Plan Commission later this summer. Stay cool!

All voices need to be heard and acted upon—especially younger voices, as they represent White County’s future.
