Discussion Board Guidelines and Moderation Policy

This discussion board is intended to provide a constructive forum for sharing perspectives, asking questions, and contributing ideas related to the White County Comprehensive Plan and Development Ordinances. To support a productive and respectful exchange of information, all submissions are subject to review.

Moderation is necessary to ensure that the discussion remains focused on the purposes of the planning process. The goal is not to limit viewpoints, but to maintain a space where comments are relevant, respectful, and appropriate for a public planning forum.

Submissions may be removed if they include:

  • Content that is unrelated to the Comprehensive Plan, Development Ordinances, or other topics under consideration

  • Profanity, vulgar language, or inappropriate expressions

  • Personal attacks, harassment, or statements directed at individuals rather than issues

  • Repetitive or disruptive content that detracts from meaningful discussion

For clarity and consistency, moderation will be applied to entire submissions rather than editing or partially removing content. Comments that do not meet these guidelines will be removed, including any replies that are posted to the comment prior to removal.

The project team appreciates thoughtful participation and encourages input that contributes to an informed and constructive dialogue.
